Important Dates and Reminders
October 14th – NO SCHOOL
October 15th - In-service day. NO SCHOOL for students.
October 16th- Family Breakfast for Kindergarten and First Grade
October 23rd– Walking Trip to the West Brattleboro Fire Station
October 31st – Halloween Parade and Pumpkin Decorating Display
November 7th- Early release day. Students dismissed at 11:40.
November 8th- Early release day. Students dismissed at 11:40.
Orchard Trip
We had a wonderful day at Green Mountain Orchard! We made our own cider and had a cider donut for snack, took a hayride through the orchard, visited the pony, picked different varieties of apples, took a hike around the orchard and picked blueberries! Thanks to those of you who were able to chaperone. We couldn’t have done it without your help!
The kindergarten cooks made apple crisp with apples from the orchard for snack – yum!
Fire Station
As part of our year-long study about community helpers, we will be walking to the West Brattleboro Fire Station on October 23rd. We will leave school at 9:20 and return to school by 10:45. Please feel free to join us!
Trail Blazers
During our forest time this week, the kindergartners cleared sticks off the new Academy School trail. The trail will be used for hiking, biking, snowshoeing and more!
