Field Day Fun!

Our Trip to Lilac Ridge Farm

We had a great time at Lilac Ridge Farm! Famer Amanda encouraged us to use our senses of sight, smell, touch, and taste to explore the plants in the farm stand and growing in the fields.  Then we transplanted kale and nasturtium seedlings to take home. Please help your child find a place where they can grow their plants (in a container, your garden, or even a neighbor's garden!) Kale is delicious in a salad, sauteed, or baked into kale chips!  Nasturium flowers are edible (and a little spicy!) Thanks to all of you who were able to chaperone and help with the transplanting!
