A Visit with Sienna's Dad

As part of our study about maple sugaring, Sienna's dad, Daemon, came in for a visit to our classroom. Daemon works in sales and marketing for Coombs Family Farms. Daemon has traveled around the country and world to sell maple syrup. We sure are lucky to live in Vermont, right where syrup is made! A big thanks to Daemon for coming in and for the maple syrup!

Sugaring Season

It's here - Sugaring season! The warmer weather is coming and the sap is rising. Lynn Pancake (ESOL teacher, Heidi Pancake's dad) came and tapped the sugar maple in the courtyard. Hopefully, the sap will run well and we will gather enough to boil into syrup!
