Eating a Rainbow!!

As part of our study about how to keep our bodies healthy, Vicky Senni from the Brattleboro Food Coop came and talked to the kindergartners about "eating a rainbow."

The kindergartners sorted foods into the different colors of the rainbow.

The kindergartners tried different colors of the rainbow such as green cucumbers, yellow pineapples and orange orange slices.

We really liked the red beets!

Maple Sugaring Study
To celebrate our study of how maple syrup is made, the kindergartners enjoyed a pancake snack.  Thank you to Lynn Pancake for donating his homemade syrup!

Conferences
It was so nice to meet with you at parent-teacher conferences!  I am so proud of the progress all of the kindergartners have made so far this year!! Thank you so much for your support and work with your children at home.  We couldn’t do it without you!

OUR 5 SENSES
We have been studying our five senses through various hands-on experiments such as guessing what’s inside the touchy-feely box by just using the sense of touch and by reading non-fiction books.  Ask your child what his/her 5 senses are.  Next we will begin our study of the human body.
