Friends and fun in the forest

                                                             Friends cooking over a "fire"

The letter A!

Teeter totter time!

Building a stick wall

Making a soft bed of pine needles

Number Writing

Hard workers practicing their number writing!

                                                "A loop and a line, that's the way to make a 9!"

Learning about Winter Track Stories

Emily Hartz, environmental educator from Bonnyvale Environmental Education Center, taught us how to "read" the stories animals leave behind in the snow.  Look at the print (What does the track look like?), the pattern (Did the animal walk, hop, bound, or waddle?), and the place (What animal would live in this place?).

So Happy Together!

After our long winter break, the kindergartners were so happy to be back together and playing in the forest!

Spanish class with María Carreño

This month the kindergartners are lucky to have Spanish as their enrichment class. We met Ms. Carreño on Zoom previously and this past week we had our first in-person lesson!  The students brainstormed many ideas about why it's important to learn another language (making new friends, learning about another culture, and more.)
