Secret (Clown) Reader!

The kindergartners really enjoyed having Evalina's dad, Bill Forchion, as our secret reader last week. Not only was the circus book and Bill's various voices a lot of fun, but Bill delighted the kindergartners with his clowning around! Take a look at Bill's special clown shoes. Ask your child if they remember what the big front is stuffed with (it's horse hair to cushion and protect his feet from getting stepped on, plus it's water repellent!)

Kindergarten Sugarmakers

The kindergartners are learning about a Vermont tradition- how to make maple syrup! Here they are learning about how to boil the sap down to syrup with our pretend evaporator. We will tap a real maple tree with Lynn Pancake in the courtyard of our school. Hope for warm days and cool nights, so the sap runs for us!
