Pumpkin Contest and Costume Parade - What a busy day!

Big Kid Buddies

Each kindergartner is paired up with one or two big kid buddies, from Kate Rabideau's 4th grade class. We get together once a week to do fun activities together, as well as sit together each week at All School Sing. It's a lot of fun and it's a great way to build community at our school!

Four Winds

In our October Four Winds lesson, we learned about seeds and how and why they travel with a fun puppet show. Then we headed outside to look for seeds and share the seeds we found.

Rhyme time

Learning about rhyming words by listening to Rhyming Dust Bunnies read by a 3rd grade reader.

Math time

Acting out story problems at math time.  There were 10 kindergartners walking to a party.  5 got tired and sat down, how many were still walking?

Learning about Dairy with Bonny

For our last nutrition lesson with Bonny White from the UVM Extension, we learned about dairy and why it's important to eat and drink it. After reading, Kiss the Cow, and playing a game, we made some Greek yogurt chocolate pudding! It was yummy and good for our bones!

Our Trip to the Apple Orchard

We had a great trip to Green Mountain Orchard in Putney! We made apple cider and ate cider donuts, took a hayride through the orchard, picked apples and blueberries, saw the horses, had a picnic lunch, and took a walk. It was a great day!
