Our Trip to the Apple Orchard

We had a great trip to Green Mountain Orchard in Putney! We made apple cider and ate cider donuts, took a hayride through the orchard, picked apples and blueberries, saw the horses, had a picnic lunch, and took a walk. It was a great day!

Yogurt Parfaits

We made our own yogurt parfaits with Bonny White from the UVM Extension Nutrition program and they were yummy!

Our Painted Lady Butterfly

The kindergartners enjoyed watching the metamorphosis of our painted lady from caterpillar to chrysalis and finally to butterfly.  Here we are releasing the butterfly.

Mr. Pickles

Retired Academy School teacher, Jimmy Bedard (also known as "Mr. Pickles) comes in regularly to read to the kindergartners and they love it!

Four Winds

Four Winds is a monthly environmental lesson taught by parent volunteers. This month's lesson focused on insects. After a fun puppet show about the life cycle of insects, we headed out to look for and listen to insects.
