Book in a Bag with Bonny from University of Vermont Extension’s Expanded Food and Nutrition Education Program
Book-in-Bag is a series of six weekly nutrition lessons and activities that promote healthy food and activity choices for young elementary school students, while enhancing literacy and comprehension skills.
Each meeting we will read a story book and prepare simple recipes that may enhance their exposure to new or different foods.
Kindergarten Engineers
The kindergartners have had
fun working on our first engineering unit of the year. They have been using recycled materials
to build structures to reduce the warming effect of the sun on their “shade
monster.”
