Bones, bones, bones

The kindergartners worked together to build a life sized skeleton and they learned about the importance of calcium rich foods. Then they enjoyed a calcium filled snack- yogurt and leafy green lettuce! Thank you, Lizi! (One of the Education and Outreach Coordinators from the Brattleboro Food Coop.)

Eating a Rainbow


Lizi from the Brattleboro Food Coop came in as part of our month long study about good health. Students learned about the importance of eating colorful fruits and vegetables. Then we had an edible rainbow snack with a variety of foods and learned how the different colors help different parts of the body.
