Gingerbread Cookies

The kindergartners finally "caught" (and decorated and ate!) that gingerbread man! A big thank you to Sienna's grandmother, Barb Borek, for making the delicious cookies!

The Nutcracker

The kindergartners enjoyed a performance of "The Nutcracker" performed by high school students in the circus and dance programs at the WRCC (Windham Regional Career Center.)

Gingerbread Man Traps

After reading several different versions of the story of the Gingerbread Man, we posed a problem to the kindergartners. "Could you build a trap to catch the gingerbread man who runs away?" The kindergarten engineers brainstormed plans how to catch the gingerbread man, gathered materials (Thanks to all of you who sent in materials for this project!), built our traps, and tested our traps.

Today we had guest readers from third grade came and read us the book "Ishi" (which means rock in Japanese.)  It was a story about happiness.

A Visit with Captain Carignan

As part of our study of community helpers, Captain Carignan from the Brattleboro Police Department visited our class. He talked to us about his job and showed us the things on his belt.
